Character Information:
Character Name: Kathryn Janeway
Age: 33 (There's a lot of speculation as to when she was actually born and many theories but from lots of things I've worked out, this one makes the most sense)
Canon: Star Trek Voyager

Appearance: Kathryn is 5'5 and of slender build, though that is a fooling fact when regarding her strength. She's a beautiful woman - half from her appearance and half from her personality, with blue eyes and shoulder length red-brown hair.

Personality: Kathryn is a highly motivated person, someone whom strives for perfection in herself and dedication and hard work from those around her. As a Starfleet Officer Kathryn is an intelligent woman, first graduating from the Academy in the science field and then later working through the command route. Her first posting was under Captain Owen Paris, someone whom is said to only take the best and the brightest. Her strive for perfection can often leave her feel frustrated - at school Kathryn prided herself on her tennis ability, though after losing a match she walked home through a storm and didn't play tennis again until nineteen years had passed.

Kathryn has many skills outside of the educational field, many that also haven't been seen since her youth. She is rather athletic, starting with taking ballet lessons as a child and moving into sport through her teens. As well as ballet and tennis, Kathryn was also an experienced hiker and knew how to play pool. Now Kathryn occasionally partakes in sessions of velocity on the holodeck, using it both to relax and keep her phaser skills sharp. She has also studied chromolinguistics, American Sign Language and the gestural idioms of the Leyron, although despite this she still struggles with basic Klingonese.

Kathryn was raised as a skeptic, to question everything and to look at the world with an analytical and a scientific mind. Along with Kathryn's love of science, particularly physics, this helped influence her choice of route at Starfleet Academy and help with her work. Although Kathryn had a love of science her motivation to join Starfleet Academy came from came from a twentieth century ancestor, a female astronaut. Although Kathryn later discovered that her ancestor was actually less influential in a project which has inspired her than she'd earlier believed, she was told that her inspiration should not be diminished as this was still the major force that led to Kathryn becoming an explorer herself.

Kathryn also prides herself on her instinct and diplomacy. She follows the Prime Directive, unwilling to break it or stray from it except for the most dire of situations; Kathryn reasons this by saying that although they may be lost and far from home, they are still Starfleet Officers and if they don't have their principles then what do they have? It is this reasoning that has caused her close friend Tuvok, her Chief of Security, to partake in acts that she would not have expected from him due to being a Vulcan but ones which he finds logical, explaining to her that he had to do it as it was something that she was morally unable to do so. Kathryn's diplomacy extends even to situations in which other members of her crew find ridiculous, though somehow Kathryn manages to make them work - even once managing to have a brief treaty with the Borg. Kathryn has forged many alliances throughout her time in the Delta Quadrant, learning new customs and slowly finding ways to speed up their journey home.

Kathryn is an emotional individual, although she uses her emotion to her advantage - feeling empathy towards those whom need it but also by being able to keep her feelings in check when acting on them would not help a situation. Emotions are a big motivator in Kathryn's decisions and despite her control, there are certain situations in which they get the better of her - particularly when she feels guilty. One on of her first command missions as a First Officer, when the mission went awry Kathryn went down to the planet to continue the mission herself, despite the risk to herself. Kathryn has made several similar decisions whilst being in the Delta Quadrant and puts the welfare of others above that of herself - a notable example of this was during her first mission commanding Voyager, when Kathryn intervened to save the lives of the Ocampans, which also stranded herself and her crew in the Delta Quadrant 70,000 light years from home. Kathryn has felt guilty about those actions since her decision and although she tells herself that it was the right thing to do she cannot help but think about every family that was waiting for someone to come home, every family that may not see a loved one again. Currently, despite being an explorer, Kathryn's biggest goal is to get the crew of Voyager home. Although they will follow the Starfleet mission, to seek out new life and technolgy - to make allies and hopefully find phenomenon or other ways to speed up their journey home, the main mission that Voyager follows is to reach Earth; to get the crew home.

Background: Kathryn Janeway @ memory alpha

Canon point: 501 Night. This episode shows and makes Kathryn discuss a lot of the emotions and feelings that she's been hiding herself, showing where her thoughts constantly lie as well as what motivates her. She'll be coming in from the middle of the episode when she's still in her quarters just as the power fails, when the action starts.

Special Abilities: Kathryn's just a regular human. She's a good scientist, understands concepts that most people in the game would think were highly advanced and is a starship captain. She's also a damn good shot and is very instinctual.

Sect: Civilian. Her inner prime directive will prevent her from becoming involved until she realises that she already is.

Job: Fff no idea.

First Person: This is interesting.

[ When the face belonging to the woman appears, a woman who has already found her clothes, she isn't scared like most newcomers. She's more confident and relaxed - or at least that's what she's projecting ]

In my experience when someone kidnaps you - as well meaning as they may be - they don't often leave you with a communication device.

[ A device that she doubted would reach Voyager, even if she could manage to reprogram it ]

Now, I'm willing to give this situation the benefit of the doubt - at least until I receive some answers. This doesn't appear to be a prison, which tells me that there's more to this than meets the eye. And as for this device?

[ She was grasping... hopeful grasping ]

Barring any major event [ genocide, death... the Borg ] I'm willing to bet that there's someone listening. If you tell me what it is that you want I'm certain that we can come to some sort of arrangement.

Third Person: When Kathryn awoke the familiar darkness had been replaced by light, her clothes not replaced and her head and eyes pained to the light. She made a noise of complaint, her small movements making her head ache further.

"Computer, luminosity 20%." When the computer didn't respond, when the lights didn't dim Kathryn dared to open her eyes. If the chill that had started setting in hadn't already set alarms off - which it had - the sights which her eyes fell on certainly did.

This wasn't Voyager. It explained why the computer hadn't responded, why her quarters were illuminated in a power drain but none of that explained where she was, why or what had happened.

Kathryn quickly spotted her clothes, pulling herself up from the floor and moving across the room she dressed, ideas spinning around her head as she did.

The aliens? Perhaps Q? The power drain had taken communications offline, the attack hadn't helped either. She'd been on her way to leaving her quarters to investigate what was happening when... Kathryn had no recollection after that, it was black. The next thing that she remembered was waking up here.

With the power drain the shields were down; a transporter could have been possible. She didn't allow herself to think anything definitively, though she allowed her many ideas to become theories; it was better to be prepared for any eventuality. Either way, regardless of if the door opened, Kathryn would get her answers.

Anything Else: I told you I'd be back :D Also, I've heard that Ebon Hawks likes Hutt porn?
